Our newest introduction of the Jiuzhaigou collection, Jiuzhaigou 9 has proven to be one of the tallest, most vigorous forms of 'Jiuzhaigou'; the culms start out reddish and fade to a rich lavender and purple as they age. Overall stature is very similar to other forms of 'Jiuzhaigou' and Fargesia nitida. Shows great promise as a tall and very cold hardy clumping bamboo. Needs afternoon shade.
