A very unusual form of "Yellow Groove". This form has multiple vertical ridges instead of just the normal sulcus of most Phyllostachys. After a short time the culms develop numerous yellow stripes on the top of the ridges, random and colorful patterns. Like all forms of Phyllostachys aureosulcata, it can have many culms with sharp bends near the base, but is very erect and makes a good hedge or screen.
